Our Ministry

Our ministry at The House of Prayer consists of several different departments and many dedicated people. The efforst and sacrifices of these people allow us to do amazing things not only for the church and its members, but also for our community.

Praise Team

Praise Team

Ephesians 5:19 speaks of making melody in our hearts to the Lord. The House of Prayer Praise Team's major role is to do just that; lead the congregation in "heartfelt" praise and worship unto God. Regardless of the talent, if our song lacks God's annointing, our effort has accomplished nothing. Our praise team members recognize this fact and keep in constant prayer for God's blessing over our music. The House of Prayer's music ministry strives to do just that; to minister using music. We understand that we aren't just singing another song' we are ministering to the very "heart" of people's lives.

Sign Team

Sign Team

The House of Prayer's sign team is made up of a small group of individuals who love to express themselves in this unique style of worship. Though words are not spoken, God clearly understands what is spoken through their ministry.

Women's Auxiliary

Womens Auxiliary

God, in all His wisdom, created men and women very different. One of those differences is a woman's need for relationships. In every aspect of life, women feel the need for interaction whether it be with a friend, a companion, God, or herself. Through activities and community outreach the Ladies Auxiliary of the House of Prayer works to build these relationships and guide them as God's Word directs.

Sunday School

Sunday School

Our Sunday School Department is led by Bro. Bill and Sis. Lesa Bell. The Bell family has a tremendous burden for children and realize that our children are not only the "church" of tomorrow, but are being molded into the "church" of TODAY!

  • Outreach is a major part of the House of Prayer. Offering hope to those who have lost hope is the goal of this ministry. There is a remedy and His name is Jesus Christ.

  • Our men enjoy the fellowship one with the other through many avenues at the House of Prayer. We are blessed with godly men of character and integrity who strive to keep unity amongst the brethren.

  • Our goal at the House of Prayer as it relates to our youth, is to have a strong group of young people who are passionate about serving the Lord. It is our desire that our youth grow in the ways of God and move on in to other ministries of the church.

The Power of Prayer

The Power of Prayer
The power of prayer is a remarkable thing! We believe that God CAN and WILL take hopeless situations, and through the prayers of His people, breathe hope and life back into those situations. "The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." James 5:16

Sound and Video

Sound and Video
We are fortunate to have Kirstin Belcher over our Sound and Video Department. Kirstin is doing a fabulous job and will be in training for new programs yet to be installed. We look ahead with great anticipation for what God has in store for this department.
